THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER (DTC) is a hub of innovation and excellence at the University of Minnesota in the digital technologies serving the industrial, educational, and public needs of the state of Minnesota and the nation. The DTC integrates research, education, and outreach in digital design, computer graphics and visualization, telecommunications, intelligent data storage and retrieval systems, multimedia, data mining, scientific computation, and other digital technologies.

The DTC's first-rate laboratory facilities offer researchers the tools to make progress in these areas. The DTC houses the Laboratory for Computational Science and Engineering for computational science and engineering and visualization, and the Usability Laboratory for evaluations of computational solutions. Additional, specialized laboratories assist with research projects.

The seminar room is fully equipped with a podium with VGA cables to connect to the projectors. There are two screens and projectors, with the ability to project different images on each screen. A Dell laptop running Windows 7 is available for speakers to use. The room also includes:

    Driving Directions

    I-35W, North: As you're nearing the downtown Minneapolis area, watch for the signs directing you to the U of M/3rd Street exit. Remain in the right lanes that split from 35W. Follow the east bank sign, exiting off the main roadway. You’ll merge onto Washington Avenue. Go over the Washington Avenue Bridge. Take the East River Pkwy ramp, first right turn after crossing the bridge. Turn right onto River Rd. E. Turn right onto Arlington St. SE, turn right onto Pleasant St., go 1/2 block.

    I-35W, South: Take the University Ave. exit. Turn left on University Ave, go to 15th Ave. SE, turn right. The 15 Ave., SE will become Pleasant St., SE. Follow Pleasant St., SE.

    From I-94: Take the Huron Blvd. exit. Proceed on Huron Blvd to 4th St., SE. Continue on 4th St., SE to 15th Ave., SE. Turn left on 15th Ave. SE, The 15 Ave., SE will become Pleasant St., SE. Follow Pleasant St., SE.
